Give Back This Season: Where to Volunteer in Everett

The holidays are the perfect time to lend a hand. The VOA Everett Community Food Bank (1230 Broadway) needs help sorting, stocking and packing food boxes. New volunteers attend a short orientation Tuesdays or Fridays at 11:30 a.m., and groups are welcome. Everett Gospel Mission serves special Thanksgiving and Christmas meals for neighbors experiencing homelessness at its Smith Campus (3711 Smith Ave.). The Salvation Army on Rucker Avenue also welcomes volunteers and donations. Sign up at voaww.org/volunteer or egmission.org. Keith Bruce at Sound Point Real Estate knows what makes Everett worth calling home. keith@soundpointre.com
