Everett's 5 Most Haunted Places

North Everett's old mill-town streets hold more than history. The Historic Everett Theatre (2911 Colby Ave) opened as an opera house in 1901 and is said to be home to "Smilin' Al," a grinning gray-haired ghost first reported in 1993. A few blocks away, the Everett High School auditorium has its own "Blue Ghost," said to be a maintenance worker who died during renovations. Up on Rucker Hill, the 1905 Rucker Mansion carries stories tied to the family that built Everett, and their granite pyramid tomb still crowns a hill at Evergreen Cemetery (4504 Broadway). Round it out at the Catholic Community Service building (1918 Everett Ave), a stop on the Everett Museum of History's haunted walking audio tour.
