Honoring Veterans on Veterans Day — Tacoma, Washington

Today, Tacoma stands with communities across the nation in honoring the brave men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces. Veterans Day is a time to recognize the courage, sacrifice, and commitment of those who have worn the uniform — and the families who have supported them every step of the way.

Tacoma has a strong and proud military presence, closely connected to Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM). Many active-duty service members, reservists, retired Veterans, and military families call the South Sound home. Their contributions shape our schools, neighborhoods, and community spirit.

To every Veteran in Tacoma and throughout the South Sound:

Thank you.
Your service matters.
Your sacrifice is honored.
Your strength is respected.
